New Vehicle Technology Workshops

E-mail Print

Toyota PriusOn Sunday 17th October 2010, we are planning to conduct two "New Vehicle Technology" workshops at two locations on the Monaro.

Session One

Bungarby brigade will be hosting the first session.

The workshop will begin at 9.30 and finish at approximately 11.30am.

The Bungarby ladies have agreed to assist with some refreshments after the training session.

Session Two

Colinton brigade will host the second session.

Their session will begin at 1.30 and finish at approximately 3.30pm.

Colinton brigade will be providing some afternoon tea.

What will we be looking at?

This training will be based upon an updated version of training session that I presented at the 2010 Australasian Rescue Challenge, it is aimed at emergency service workers and will be a "myth busting approach" to help our members make better decisions when working with any motor vehicle that has a high voltage battery (not just hybrid vehicles)

I'm also planning to give my model Hydrogen powered car a run.

How to nominate for this workshop

Please use our standard nominations process (below and on the training calendar) or call a Fire Control Centre for help.

The Bombala Bush Fire Management Committee is responsible for the development and implementation of a Bush Fire Risk Management Plan (BFRMP) for the Local Government Areas of Bombala.

The committee would like your input into the development of their Bush Fire Risk Management Plan (BFRMP). Where are the bush fire hazards in your area? What areas require hazard reduction? Are there environmental, economic or cultural assets that you think require special protection from bush fire? What is a Bush Fire Management Committee?

Community forums have already been conducted at Ando Community Hall, Bombala Fire Control Centre and Delegate Rural Fire Brigade Station.

Additional comments should be forwarded to:

Do you have an AED?

E-mail Print

AEDIt was suggested at the Numbla Vale AGM that we should add the locations of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to our contacts directory. There are already a number of AEDs listed in the contacts directory and Brigades are requested to contact Kerrie or Louise if their AED is not listed so that we can add it to the next print run.
